APRIL COMMUNION SERVICE WITH PASTOR CHRIS – MONTH OF LIFTING**

APRIL COMMUNION SERVICE WITH PASTOR CHRIS – MONTH OF LIFTING**

It is not true that sin does not take men to hell. Sin does. The Bible teaches that Jesus came to die for sinners. If sin does not take men to sin, Jesus wouldn't have come.
We don't pray to have more power. Power comes from Holy Spirit. So a prayerless Christian is not a powerless Christian. He is a Christian who is not using His power rightly. The Holy Spirit admonishes us to pray. So not to pray will be disobedience.
- Fasting helps you to maintain spiritual focus. Fasting doesn't just means staying away from food. It means staying away from food and other things that takes your focus away from God.
- Fasting also helps you maintain your sensitivity.
- Fasting is an exercise for the Spiritual man.
- Fasting is part of obedience to the Holy Spirit.
When do we fast?
- The church or a group in the church can decide a date and time to fast. As such times, you should be part of it.
- The Holy Spirit at times ministers to you to fast.
- The third is by choice. Maybe because of what you have to deal with that requires your attention. You may fast at such times.
To be lukewarm is to be cold and non active. Your participation in the things of God is what makes you active in the house of God. To be lukewarm means to be disobedience to the vision of God. A Christian who remains lukewarm to the end will go to hell. It's there in the Scriptures.
Revelation 3:14-21KJV
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
The lukewarm Christian is the unprofitable Servant. Let's see his end in Matthew 25 : 29-30 KJV
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Did you see that? So repent if you have been lukewarm and be vitally involved is the house.
To stop thinking about death you need to replace your thoughts from the thoughts of death to that of God. You can also get the book "The Power of the Mind." It will help you greatly.
THE WORD FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL.
This month is a beautiful month. Maybe I should read you some scripture so you can understand what this month is.
Isaiah 58:13-14KJV
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
God is about to do something wonderful in your life.
Job 22:29KJV
29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
Did you hear that? When men are cast down, didn't join them saying that everywhere is hard and things are difficult. No! Don't talk like that. You say, in my life, there is lifting up. Lifting up means to raise to a higher position. To elevate. To revoke.
The month of April is the Month of LIFTING. This month you are going to experience that. It could be a weight being lifted from you. God is going to do it. You are being lifted this month, by the power of the Holy Ghost. If there is anything that has been weighing you doing, I command a lifting for you. Refuse to fear. No matter what the threat is like, say " I am lifted." It is not by power of might. It's by the Spirit said the Lord. Don't look at the challenges. Stop seeing yourself defeated. Maybe you even made a mistake that brought you here and you are regretting it. Hear what the Lord is saying. He is saying "I have taken responsibility for your sins and your omissions." There is lifting for you this month. Worship Him now. Give Him praise. His is more than able. Go ahead and pray.
Philemon 4.
