SCRIPTURE 📖: 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Notice what we just read: Satan, the god of this world, blinded the minds of those who don’t believe the Gospel; for what purpose? So that the light of the “glorious Gospel” of Christ should not shine unto them. But he’s been defeated. Glory to God!
Through the power of the Name of Jesus, we’re able to break Satan’s hold and influence over people’s lives and cause the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ to shine unto them. We overturn their blindness. Hallelujah!
The Bible says in Acts 26:16-18, “…for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness…Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God….” What a ministry; what a calling! We’re sent “… To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God….”
Satan blinded them, but your purpose is to overturn their darkness. You have the power to open their eyes through the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe (Romans 1:16).
When you share the Gospel with those who haven’t known the Lord, their eyes are opened. That’s why you’re in that city; that’s why you’re in that town; that’s why you’re in that country-to preach the Gospel and turn men from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation that through the Name of Jesus, we have the authority and ability to overturn the darkness that blinds the minds of those who do not believe. Today, as the Gospel is preached around the world, many are turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
